Salary: Grade F ($$19.06-$28.59; commensurate with experience) Part-Time Temporary (35 hours per week / minimum 3 month duration) Nature of Work: Dispatcher and Procurement Assistant – Part-Time Temporary (35 hours per week , minimum three (3) months) Hourly rate is $19,06 - $28.59 commensurate with experience. Under the supervision of the Construction Contract Administrator and Bureau Chief this position is responsible for assisting in a variety of administrative operations related to the general operation of the Construction and Facilities Services Bureau. Duties include but are not limited to answering the phone, dispatching duties, work order entry and database administration, copying, filing, data entry, review and control of incoming and outgoing correspondence and follow-up on maintenance related work performed at the Columbia Association facilities. Additionally, this position develops, issues and administers competitively procured goods and services in accordance with CA’s Purchasing Policy. Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent; previous experience with facilities management, public procurement practices, problem solving skills and familiarity with the use of computers specifically Access, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. |

POSITION: Purchasing Agent LOCATION: Administration Office – Towson, MD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework associated with purchasing and material management principles. Additional professional experience beyond the minimum required in purchasing may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years for the required education. Designation as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), or Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M), is desired. Five years experience in an office environment which includes two years of experience in purchasing a variety of commodities in a public sector. |
